About GSVS:

GSVS is a multispecialty practice with boarded veterinary specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Rehabilitation, and Ophthalmology. The practice has also treated felines with hyperthyroid disease using radioactive iodine since 2001. GSVS technicians include individuals with VTS certifications in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

As an ICU Veterinary Technician, you'll work alongside a skilled and supportive team to provide attentive, high-quality care to pets in our care.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

  • Maintain accurate medical records and complete treatments promptly
  • Follow ICU protocols and assist with CPR and patient stabilization
  • Provide continuous monitoring and compassionate care for pets in our care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Manage sedation, anesthesia, fluid therapy, blood products, and CRIs
  • Place and maintain IV lines, catheters, feeding tubes, and other indwelling tubes
  • Provide care for mechanically ventilated pets when needed

We're looking for a dedicated veterinary professional who possesses:

  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, or 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • A team-oriented mindset
  • Self-motivation and initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate professionally with clients and all members of the veterinary team
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for pets in our care
