About the role

Position Summary:

Lead quality management system improvements, quality processes, procedures, documentation, manufacturing-process optimization, and strategic quality initiatives for Power Connector.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or a related field.

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards; AS9100 preferred.
  • Proficiency with inspection equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Skills:

  • Strong oral, written, communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customer and supplier quality personnel.
  • Read technical materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, and measuring instruments.
  • Inspect, test, and measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
  • Perform visual inspections and classify products according to specifications.
  • Support First Article Inspection activities under AS9102.
  • Conduct analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, samples, and finished goods.
  • Record inspection and test data, reject nonconforming products, and interpret results against specifications and control limits.
  • Maintain quality-control documentation and equipment records.
  • Calibrate, validate, and maintain quality-control equipment.
  • Develop validation analyses and documentation for New Product Introduction.
  • Communicate with suppliers, create and assess Supplier Corrective Action Requests, and assess discrepant material for disposition.
  • Identify root causes and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Execute quality-control protocols, provide management feedback, and conduct internal training.
  • Support other engineering operations and operational sustainability, improvement, and optimization initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires prolonged sitting at a computer, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is usually low to moderate noise.
