About the role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Surgimate, you will play a pivotal role in generating qualified pipeline opportunities for our sales team. Often serving as the first point of contact for potential clients, you will be a key brand ambassador, creating meaningful first impressions and setting the tone for a consultative sales process.

Your creativity, professionalism, and communication skills will be essential in cutting through the noise to engage busy prospects. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where organization, persistence, and authenticity are key. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, enjoys the art of outreach, and takes pride in building the foundation of customer relationships.

You’ll work closely with both the marketing and sales teams to develop personalized outreach strategies, improve messaging, and continuously enhance lead generation efforts. You'll also contribute insights from the front lines to help inform content and campaign development.

  • Execute a structured cadence of outreach across email, phone, and social channels
  • Craft compelling, personalized email copy and call scripts to maximize engagement

  • Respond to and nurture inbound leads, qualifying them for further sales activity
  • Schedule high-quality introductory calls and product demos with sales executives
  • Accurately record and update prospect interactions in CRM and sales engagement platforms
  • Follow up with prospects who expressed interest but did not convert initially
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to launch and optimize lead generation campaigns
  • Support logistics for in-person events or campaigns as needed
  • Share frontline insights to help shape marketing content and campaign strategies
  • Join calls with Account Executives to learn from and support the sales cycle

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a Sales Development or similar role within an Enterprise SaaS company
  • Experience selling in the healthcare technology space, particularly Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management Systems, or Revenue Cycle Management solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong cold calling and email outreach capabilities
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Comfortable receiving and acting on feedback
  • Enthusiastic about learning, growth, and professional development
  • Positive attitude and resilience in the face of rejection
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Copywriting or content development experience
  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment with shared revenue goals
