We are seeking a Senior Manager of Fulfillment Center Operations with experience scaling high-performing teams to join us in delivering our promise to merchants: Stress Less, Grow More.
What you'll do:
- Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment is properly maintained.
- Ensure work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement equipment are submitted to the appropriate persons.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with customer service, sales, and other functional areas.
- Ensure safe warehouse operations, including company standards for sanitation, maintenance, security, and housekeeping.
- Manage the operation's budget and P&L.
- Ensure operational excellence across warehouse areas, related equipment, and systems.
- Maintain proper warehouse layout and product placement.
- Monitor facility KPIs to support profitability and productivity.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping for direct reports and reporting teams.
- Lead cultural change within facilities when necessary.
- Ensure compliance as applicable.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training supervisory and hourly staff; plan, assign, and direct work; and appraise performance.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
- Oversee warehouse sanitation and identify and correct sanitation issues.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience in supply chain operations, fulfillment center operations, or distribution center operations.
- 6 to 8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- Experience with warehouse management systems.
- Experience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with enterprise technology systems such as Advanced Excel, Outlook/Gmail, project management software, warehouse management systems, and process workflow creation.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and internal and external customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
- Experience leading teams of 40 or more employees, building leadership layers, and managing the performance of direct reports.
