About the role

ShipMonk isn't just a 3PL — we're the tech-powered growth partner for ecommerce brands, running 12+ owned fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe so our merchants can stress less and grow more.

ShipMonk is hiring an Operations Supervisor – Night Shift to lead a team of approximately 25–30 associates across our Pittston fulfillment operations.

We ship thousands of orders every day for more than 1,500 ecommerce brands, and strong night-shift leadership is critical to keeping that operation moving.

You'll be responsible for keeping your team focused, productive, safe, and aligned while making real-time decisions that directly impact our ability to deliver for our merchants.

Why this role is different

At ShipMonk, you're not here just to maintain a process.

If something isn't working, we want you to understand why, challenge it, and help build something better. You'll have clear expectations and KPIs to hit, but you'll also have the opportunity to influence how your department operates.

The people who grow here take ownership of their team and their results.

We believe in developing our people and promoting from within whenever we can. Strong performers have opportunities to take on greater responsibility and continue building their careers at ShipMonk.

About the role

You'll own your department: the people, the processes, and the numbers.

As a Night Shift Operations Supervisor, you'll be the floor-level leader your team looks to for direction, decisions, coaching, and support throughout the shift.

  • Monitor productivity, throughput, quality, accuracy, attendance, and safety in real time
  • Adjust labor and workflow as volume and priorities change
  • Coach associates directly on the floor and address performance issues early
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with other departments when problems arise
  • Use performance data to identify root causes and improve results
  • Train and onboard new associates
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, equipment standards, sanitation, and safety
  • Ensure a strong handoff between shifts by clearly communicating results, risks, and outstanding issues

What you'll own

  • Night-shift execution and department performance
  • Productivity, quality, throughput, accuracy, and safety KPIs
  • Labor allocation and workflow
  • Associate coaching and development
  • Process improvement

What you'll need

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in warehouse operations, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, logistics, or a related environment
  • Strong coaching and people-leadership skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operation
  • Comfort using data and KPIs to manage performance
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work an overnight/night-shift schedule
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems
  • Degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement experience

What success looks like
