About the role

Clari + Salesloft are building the next era of enterprise revenue by combining scale, insights, and AI innovation to create a Predictive Revenue System.

The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team and a critical partner in scaling the company through business relationships across the organization. The role serves as the dedicated finance partner to the Research & Development (Product & Engineering) organization alongside FP&A leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the dedicated finance partner to Product & Engineering leadership, evaluating unit-level economics, engineering headcount, and investment KPIs.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, analyze financial results, track trends, and communicate risks and insights to senior leadership.
  • Use Pigment as the core FP&A planning platform and Claude AI to accelerate data analysis, reporting, scenario modeling, and finance workflow automation.
  • Perform business case evaluations and scenario analyses for strategic technology initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Partner with Accounting during month-end close, complete variance analysis, and assist with R&D financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a self-motivated, tech-savvy, and highly analytical problem solver who is passionate about making an impact, comfortable in fast-paced environments, and eager to leverage modern tools to optimize financial strategy for software engineering teams.

The Team:

The Clari + Salesloft Finance team includes seasoned and up-and-coming finance and analytics professionals. Team members are collaborative, curious, detail-oriented, and focused on helping the company scale cleanly.

The Skill Set:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in FP&A, Sales Operations, or quantitative financial analysis roles within a high-growth technology or B2B SaaS environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling.
  • Experience with modern FP&A platforms, specifically Pigment, and comfort using AI tools such as Claude AI.
  • Exposure to or strong interest in R&D and technology finance, including engineering headcount planning, cloud infrastructure costs, or software capitalization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new systems and workflows quickly.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative mentality.

Within One Month, You’ll:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation.
  • Begin meetings with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet and shadow team members, and learn about your groups.
  • Set objectives and key results with your manager and develop an action plan.
  • Meet key partners across Finance, Business Partners, and Operations.
  • Learn the financial statements, systems, processes, and data.

Within Three Months, You’ll:

  • Deepen your understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Become proficient in company systems, especially Pigment.
  • Collaborate with business partners on budgets, forecasts, and assumptions.
  • Drive month-end close reporting and variance analysis.
  • Develop stakeholder relationships and provide analytical support for strategic and operational decisions.

Within Six Months, You’ll:

  • Become the FP&A business partner and point of contact for your groups.
  • Own budgeting and forecasting with a focus on forecast accuracy and process improvement.
  • Own monthly financial reporting for your groups, including reporting to ELT members.

Within Twelve Months, You’ll:

  • Own the budget and long-range planning for your groups.
  • Contribute to company-wide strategic planning.
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity and downstream organizational impacts.
