About the role

Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences created by the global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring experiences to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together from anywhere in the world and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility.

A career at Roblox means shaping the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be a key member of the Safety design team, playing a critical role in building systems that keep Roblox safe, civil, and inclusive for a global community. You’ll focus on creating platform-level designs and frameworks that support users in moments of need and uphold community standards across the Roblox ecosystem, including Creator, Player, and Brands.

Roblox’s mission is to connect a billion people with optimism and civility. The safety organization works to detect, remove, and prevent problematic content and behavior at scale. It also ensures account security, platform compliance with global regulations, and a healthy, inclusive environment for users of all ages.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and research, shaping the platform’s approach to trust and safety through thoughtful design. This is an opportunity to work at the systems level—defining how safety is embedded across Roblox and designing reusable frameworks that support civil immersive online communities.

You will:

  • Create clear, compelling, and empathetic experiences that help users understand how safety policies, processes, and systems are applied across the platform.
  • Design for diverse audiences—young users, teens, adults, brands, and developers—ensuring critical safety journeys are accessible, age-appropriate, and effective.
  • Collaborate with the Foundation Design Systems team to develop scalable, reusable patterns across safety features.
  • Use data, research, and experimentation to understand user behavior, especially during confusion, conflict, or rule-breaking, and inform design decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with policy, product, and engineering teams to ensure quality, strategic alignment, and a best-in-class user experience.
  • Help define the UX strategy and roadmap for flagship safety experiences that guide users toward safe, civil behavior on Roblox.

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Design, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience of 8+ years in UX/UI design, with a strong track record of systems-level thinking and launching innovative consumer experiences.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and user-centered design thinking. Direct trust and safety experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to understand and design for complex workflows and interactions.
  • Ability to balance business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints in design solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

You are:

  • A systems thinker who can design scalable frameworks for brand expression and player engagement.
  • A collaborative partner who thrives in multidisciplinary environments.
  • A high-craft designer who sweats the details while staying anchored in strategy.
  • A curious explorer eager to push what’s possible for brands in an immersive, creator-driven platform.

Benefits and compensation:

  • Annual salary range of $214,710–$255,720 USD.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
  • Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday unless otherwise noted.
