About the role

The Hook: Why this role matters now

Launch your career at the high-velocity intersection of cyber risk, insurance, and technology. As an Underwriting Assistant on our Operations team, you won’t just be filing paperwork or sitting on the sidelines. You will take complete ownership of the administrative velocity and transactional accuracy that enables our underwriting team to evaluate cyber and tech E&O applications at scale. This is a foundational, high-visibility role where you will learn directly from seasoned leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Marketing & Distribution, Finance, Legal, and our internal Security Operations team, serving as a critical operational pillar of our regional growth.

The Mission: What you will achieve in the first 6 months

In your first six months, you will take full accountability for processing and reviewing incoming insurance applications, ensuring every file is complete, accurate, and ready for deep underwriting evaluation on both new business and renewals. You will own the front-line communication loop, responding promptly to inquiries from brokers, clients, and internal team members while building strong broker relationships that drive smooth, frictionless transactions. Beyond basic file management, you will prepare and issue policies and endorsements, maintain strict file compliance throughout the policy lifecycle, collaborate cross-functionally with Claims, Security Sales, Security Engagement, and PAS teams to optimize portfolio management, and tackle key operational projects as our platform scales.

The Toolkit:

  • Excellent analytical skills with relentless attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills paired with a customer-first mindset for resolving inquiries and building broker rapport.
  • A proven ability to multi-task, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • A genuine passion or curiosity for cybersecurity, technology, and cyber risk. (This role is tailored for ambitious recent graduates and early-career professionals).
  • Prior customer service, support, or administrative experience in a fast-growing environment.
  • Familiarity with modern productivity tools (G-Suite, Salesforce) or basic insurance operations concepts.

The Culture: How we work

We move fast, operate with zero ego, and embrace a bias to action. We are guided strongly by our four core values: transparency, excellence, grit, and humility. You will work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment where you will be expected to raise your hand, ask questions, take real pride in the precision of your work, and continuously expand your industry expertise.

The Benefits: Standardized perks

You will work alongside prominent leaders and innovators from the insurance, technology, and cybersecurity industries, as well as experts from the highest tiers of the US military and intelligence communities.
