What You’ll Do…
As a Part-Time Personal Host (Relocation Consultant), you will guide clients and employees through relocation, coordinate moves, handle logistics, and provide high-touch support. This role is primarily remote (60-70%), with 30-40% in-person client support throughout the city. Success requires local expertise, interpersonal skills, project management, calendar coordination, problem-solving, and tech fluency.
How You’ll Do It…
- Develop relationships with relocating employees.
- Advise on neighborhoods, transportation, and local culture.
- Research housing, schools, rental markets, commute times, and neighborhoods.
- Assist with DMV registration, banking, and other services.
- Curate social, cultural, and lifestyle recommendations.
- Create customized client reports using local expertise, proprietary software, and GSuite.
- Coordinate and lead in-person or virtual area tours.
- Communicate via phone, email, video calls, and meetings.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, partners, and vendors.
- Manage multiple relocations and follow-ups.
- Update client records and handle administrative responsibilities.
What Past Experience and Current Skills Will Enable Your Success In This Role?
- Legal right to work in the USA.
- At least 5 years of residency in New Jersey and extensive local knowledge.
- Own a reliable, registered, insured 4-door vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to dedicate at least 20 hours per week.
- Weekend availability.
- Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Relocation or moving assistance experience preferred.
Education and/or Technology Requirement
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google GSuite, and CRM systems.
- Laptop, smartphone, and reliable internet connection required.
Language Skills
- Read and interpret contracts, safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before customers or employees.
