At Rebecca School, we support students ages 3–21 with neurodevelopmental delays through the DIRFloortime® model. Guided by values of respect, relationships, and emotional growth, we help students connect and thrive. Join us and make a lasting difference in their lives.

As an Occupational Therapist at Rebecca School, you’ll help students with neurodevelopmental differences strengthen the skills that support learning, independence, and emotional growth. Using the DIRFloortime® model, you’ll design and deliver therapy that fosters regulation, sensory integration, and engagement, partnering closely with teachers, counselors, and families to help each student reach their fullest potential in a nurturing, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Need

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current New York State license to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Experience working with children or young adults; pediatric background preferred
  • Knowledge of or interest in the DIRFloortime® approach
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual and group occupational therapy sessions to address sensory motor, emotional, and functional goals
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine needs and guide treatment planning
  • Document progress through session notes, progress reports, and treatment summaries
  • Partner with educational teams to develop sensory diets, classroom strategies, and recommendations that enhance student participation
  • Support team members by modeling and training appropriate therapeutic techniques and adaptations
