About the role
About Us
Medical data exchange is one of the biggest unsolved problems in US healthcare. If you've spent any real time in the healthcare system, you've felt it, and it only gets worse the sicker and older you get. Metriport exists to fix that. We connect to the data sources healthcare providers need, turn raw data into a clean format for care teams and their agents, and enable better outcomes. Record retrieval across legacy systems that used to take weeks now takes seconds, helping clinicians have the full patient picture during appointments.
We're a technology company operating in healthcare, building every layer ourselves: connect, transform, and insight. We started in data exchange and are building the system of record for US healthcare.
We’ve raised $28.4 million from investors, found product-market fit, and have more than 100 customers. Join us and build the future.
About You
We're a small, high-output team that operates with autonomy and little bureaucracy. Leaders are in the office six days a week, and we generally expect the team to be available six days a week. We trust our team to take the time off they need.
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership. You take initiative, solve problems beyond your exact domain, and balance speed with quality.
The Role
We’re looking for an Office Manager / Executive Assistant to keep our SF office running and support our leadership team. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role with direct impact on day-to-day operations. You’ll be in our SF office Monday through Friday.
You’ll split your time roughly equally between office operations and executive support, with cross-functional opportunities. The role offers a path into People / HR as the company scales.
What You’ll Do
Office Management
- Own the SF office experience end-to-end: supplies, snacks, equipment, vendors, and facilities
- Lead office build-out initiatives as we grow: coordinate with contractors, landlord, and vendors
- Plan and execute internal events (team offsites, all-hands, celebrations, customer visits)
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for office services
- Maintain operational docs and processes in Notion; coordinate team communication in Slack and Linear
- Support onboarding logistics for new hires and assist with People / HR projects over time
Recruiting coordination and sourcing
- Work with our internal recruiter on sourcing and screening candidates
- Build and maintain sourcing funnels, craft personalized messages, and track response rates
- Schedule and coordinate initial calls with candidates and follow-up meetings between candidates and hiring managers
Executive Support
- Manage complex calendars for both leaders: scheduling internal meetings, external calls, and personal appointments across time zones
- Coordinate domestic travel: flights, hotels, ground transport, and itineraries
- Track follow-ups, action items, and commitments so nothing falls through the cracks
- Draft and send communications on behalf of leadership as needed
- Assist with ad hoc research, vendor outreach, and special projects
Requirements
- Experience: 1–2+ years as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, or similar role at an early-stage startup
- Presence: Based in San Francisco; available in-office 5 days per week (Monday-Friday mornings)
- Startup DNA: You’re comfortable with ambiguity, can prioritize across competing demands without hand-holding, and enjoy building things from scratch
- Organized by default: You maintain clean systems for calendars, tasks, and follow-ups without being reminded
- Strong communicator: Clear and professional in writing and in-person; comfortable interfacing directly with founders and external partners
- Proactive: You identify problems before they surface and propose solutions, not just questions
- Tool-savvy: Proficient with Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace; bonus if you’ve used Linear
