About the role
Your Impact at LILA:
Own strategy and execution for Lila’s Materials Science AISF program, translating Product, Science, and AI priorities into charters, budgets, timelines, roadmaps, and execution plans across synthesis, characterization, and closed-loop AI guidance.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
PhD or equivalent experience in materials science, condensed matter physics, chemistry, or a related field with industry research experience; experience leading multidisciplinary experimental programs, technical roadmaps, resource-constrained execution, strategic communication, and cross-functional teams.
Bonus Points For:
Experience with automated or high-throughput experimental platforms, robotics, lab automation, AI/ML-driven experimental design, Bayesian optimization, closed-loop materials discovery, atomistic simulation, national labs, advanced-materials startups, or deep-tech companies.
Compensation:
Competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity. Expected base salary range: $320,000–$380,000 USD.
