About the role

Your Impact at LILA:

You will steward Verification & Validation and software quality for autonomous labs, building V&V, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and UI testing for software integrated with real robotics hardware. You will partner with platform, simulation, and human-factors engineers to catch failures in testing.

What You'll Be Building:

  • Automate test suites with Python, pytest, Playwright, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
  • Validate platform software against real and simulated robotics hardware through Hardware-in-the-Loop tests.
  • Own V&V processes and test plans mapping requirements to coverage.
  • Test internal dashboards and orchestration UIs.
  • Perform regression and reliability testing to isolate nondeterminism and flakiness.
  • Manage fixtures and test data for reproducible, diagnosable results.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • 4–8 years in software test or QA automation for complex, integrated systems.
  • Hands-on Python automation with pytest and a modern UI framework such as Playwright; Vitest or Jest experience is a plus.
  • Experience defining test plans, V&V processes, and test layers.
  • Experience embedding tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience testing across service, UI, and hardware boundaries.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and risk communication skills.

Bonus Points For:

  • Hardware-in-the-Loop, robotics, or lab automation testing experience.
  • Simulation or digital-twin testing experience.
  • Test data management, fixtures, or reporting experience for large suites.
  • V&V experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or healthcare/life sciences.
  • Exposure to GAMP 5, FDA CSA, 21 CFR Part 11, or DO-178C.

Compensation:

We offer competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity. Expected base salary range: $144,000–$240,000 USD. Full-time employees receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; insurance; paid time off; parental leave; educational assistance; commuter benefits; and subsidized lunch, with regional variations for international employees.
