About the role
Your Impact at LILA:
We are seeking an Enterprise Account Lead, Chemicals to define how Fortune 500 energy, manufacturing, and chemical companies engage with the world's first platform for scientific superintelligence. You'll build and scale Lila's enterprise sales organization and drive deal execution for its AI-driven materials and chemistry platform. As a revenue-focused individual contributor, you'll own and grow a physical sciences revenue pipeline, working across technical product, science, GTM, software, robotics, and Physical AI teams to translate AI and autonomous lab capabilities into signed enterprise contracts. You'll prospect, qualify, and close enterprise deals, deliver market insights, and help build the GTM organization.
What You'll Be Building:
- Build, manage, and grow a pipeline from opportunity identification through close.
- Lead complex sales cycles across R&D, technology, data/AI, and business leadership.
- Maintain revenue forecasts and deal records.
- Engage physical sciences buyers and explain Lila's role in their R&D stack.
- Own strategic accounts, executive relationships, account planning, research, meeting preparation, customer materials, follow-up, and stakeholder management.
- Partner with product, science, and business teams to scope customer engagements.
- Coordinate experts and technical inputs for customer conversations.
- Own technical RFI and DDQ responses.
- Track the AI/ML partnership landscape and inform positioning and competitive strategy.
- Maintain the revenue CRM and build BD tools, processes, and a repeatable GTM playbook.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, or an adjacent field.
- 2-5+ years in a client-facing role owning customer outcomes across BD, enterprise sales, management consulting, customer success, or applied science.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, highly technical, cross-functional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and execution skills.
- A collaborative, low-ego working style.
- Hands-on use of AI tools and curiosity about AI and autonomous science.
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with AI/ML applied to physical sciences, including property prediction, generative materials models, Bayesian optimization, or simulation-driven design.
- Enterprise R&D buying-cycle experience in materials, semiconductors, or industrial biotech.
- Frontier AI sales experience with technical buyers.
- Founder or early GTM/commercial experience.
- A point of view on AI's usefulness in physical sciences R&D.
Compensation:
We offer competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity. Expected base salary range: $108,000-$186,667 USD.
