Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Endpoint Engineer to help design, build, and evolve the next generation of Kaseya's endpoint agents. This role combines deep systems programming expertise with large-scale distributed software development.

You will work closely with Product, Platform, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to build endpoint capabilities that power device management, software deployment, patch management, remote monitoring, compliance, automation, and security initiatives.

This is a highly hands-on role requiring strong operating system fundamentals, troubleshooting skills, and practical experience building software that runs reliably on customer endpoints.

What You Will Do

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Drive architecture and technical direction for endpoint agent components across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for endpoint management, monitoring, automation, and remediation.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving endpoint agents, cloud services, security services, and MDM integrations.
  • Define engineering standards, best practices, and reusable platform components across endpoint products.
  • Mentor engineers on systems programming, operating system internals, endpoint security, and software architecture.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical strategy discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, platform engineering, QA, and support teams.

Engineering

  • Design and build new endpoint capabilities for device management, software deployment, patching, compliance, inventory collection, remote actions, and automation.
  • Develop reliable, performant, and secure system services running on customer devices.
  • Contribute hands-on code to critical product features and platform improvements.
  • Build APIs, communication frameworks, and data collection mechanisms between endpoint agents and cloud platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer-reported issues across diverse endpoint environments.
  • Partner with Support and Product teams to diagnose production problems and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Translate customer feedback and enhancement requests into scalable product capabilities.
  • Improve agent resilience, observability, upgradeability, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with platform security requirements and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging operating system and endpoint management technologies and drive adoption where appropriate.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years building system-level or endpoint software.
  • Deep expertise in at least one operating system platform (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Strong programming experience in at least one of C, C++, Rust, Go, C#/F#/.NET
  • Experience building background services, daemons, agents, drivers, extensions, or endpoint applications.
  • Strong understanding of operating system internals including - Process management, Memory management, Filesystems, Networking, Concurrency and threading, IPC mechanisms
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting software deployed to large-scale customer environments.
  • Deep understanding of endpoint security concepts and OS security models.
  • Experience working with - Code signing, Privilege management, Sandboxing, Secure communications, Device compliance, Endpoint protection technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of MDM ecosystems - Microsoft Intune, Windows Management APIs, Apple MDM Frameworks, Android Enterprise, Linux device management technologies
  • Experience building or integrating endpoint management solutions.
  • Experience in developing software deployed to hundreds of thousands or millions of devices.
  • Nice to have
    • Experience with RMM, UEM, EDR, XDR, or endpoint security products.
    • Knowledge of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or AppleScript.
