In the assigned Job Role of Engineering Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

  • Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for the team
  • Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support the development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques
  • Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback effectively
  • Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure that engineering solutions meet design specifications and criteria
  • Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and feedback received from cross-functional team, to enhance functionality
  • Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, identify and resolve interoperability issues
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions among team members

Required Skill and Experience:

  • Experience on PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), preferably aerospace structures / Nacelles
  • Experience in aerospace structures / Nacelle quality or manufacturing experience
  • Develop Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documents and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables
  • Work on Root Cause and Corrective Action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control
  • Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel
  • Experience in the aerospace domain
  • Experience in ISO9000 or AS9100, FAA Part 21, and structural conformity requirements
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software, with Catia/3dx preferred
  • Experience with aircraft structures / Nacelles, design guidelines, and composite and metallic failure modes

Preferred Skill and Experience:

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical views that translate raw data into clear operational insights and recommended actions
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Familiarity with digital QMS / PLM tools

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
