Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided.
  • Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions.
  • Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability.
  • Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
  • Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
  • Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications.
  • Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
  • Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects.

Required Skill and Experience:

Strong development experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Microservices, and React.js. Strong hands-on development skills with Java/JEE technologies, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Preferred Skill and Experience:

  • Perform gap analysis on requirements and functional specifications and review findings with the project management team.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; experience working with Scrum teams is an added advantage.
  • Perform CI/CD tasks and mentor others; ability to code is a value add.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to successfully multitask in a results-driven environment.
  • Work closely with US and India teams on business requirements and initiatives.
  • Play a technical developer role, including coding, code reviews, and internal testing sign-off, for deliverables from WFI.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned-module technical issues and analyze, investigate, and resolve open issues, vulnerabilities, and secure-coding concerns.
  • Provide technical expertise to support teams during incident and problem resolution.
  • Primary skills include Java, Spring, Microservices design and development, APIs, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Kafka, JMS, JPA, JUnit/TestNG, and PCF.
  • Strong hands-on experience with distributed-systems web development across Java/JEE and SOAP/REST web services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud development, Microservices, and CI/CD.
  • Experience designing solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.
  • High competency in software design and software engineering implementation.
  • Familiarity with common design patterns.
  • XML web-services experience.
  • Experience developing software that interacts with Oracle and other databases.
  • Proven ability to effectively deliver results.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently under strict timelines.
  • High level of cultural awareness.
  • Ability to train system users.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.

Additional Details:

Estimated annual compensation range for candidates in Jersey City, NJ: $82,419 to $126,600.
