Overview:
The Infosys Manufacturing unit specializes in transforming client relationships in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial Manufacturing sectors through digital solutions that drive growth and operational excellence.
In the assigned Job Role of Engineering Consultant 2, your Area of Responsibility will include:
- Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for the team.
- Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support the development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques.
- Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback effectively.
- Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure engineering solutions meet design specifications and criteria.
- Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and cross-functional team feedback to enhance functionality.
- Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, and identify and resolve interoperability issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions among team members.

Required Skill and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in aerospace structures, Nacelle quality, or manufacturing.
- Aerospace experience.
- Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software; CATIA/3DX preferred.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structures and nacelles, design guidelines, and composite and metallic failure modes.
Preferred Skill and Experience:
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical views that translate raw data into clear operational insights and recommended actions.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
- Familiarity with digital QMS/PLM tools.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
