About the role
About Experience by Industrious:
Experience by Industrious is a workplace hospitality brand launched by CBRE. It combines CBRE's real estate scale with Industrious' operating model to run dedicated experience teams across office assets, enterprise headquarters, healthcare facilities, and logistics centers worldwide.
About the Role:
As a Community Manager, you’re responsible for bringing the workplace experience to life every day. You own the programming, communications, and hospitality strategy for the office building, creating moments that strengthen community, deepen tenant engagement, and elevate the workplace experience.
This role blends creativity with operational excellence. You’ll curate events and partnerships, manage communications across multiple channels, oversee budgets and logistics, and ensure every detail reflects the quality of the building and the brand.
You’ll build relationships with tenants, understand what matters to them, and use those insights to shape experiences that feel personal, relevant, and worthwhile.
Winning in This Role Means:
- Event attendance is strong and growing.
- The tenant app, signage, and newsletter work together and are consistently up to date.
- Tenants know you by name, trust you with feedback, and feel like the building is on their side.
- Building communications are timely, on-brand, and reflect what tenants care about.
- NPS and CSAT scores are improving and can be connected to specific actions.
You'll Love This Role and Succeed at It If:
- Making people feel welcome comes naturally to you.
- You enjoy mixing creativity with structure, including planning activations, curating tenant perks, managing details, budgets, and timelines.
- You take pride in high-quality work, including app content, email communications, and smoothly executed events.
- You are genuinely curious about the people you work with and build personal tenant experiences.
- Variety energizes you, from building a vendor database to hosting wellness activations and writing newsletter copy.
Not the Right Fit If:
- You would rather stay behind the scenes than engage face-to-face with tenants.
- You find detail work such as signage, supply checks, and survey follow-up frustrating.
- You are looking for a predictable routine.
- You see hospitality as optional rather than central to making a workplace work.
- You are not comfortable balancing creative thinking with operational discipline.
What You Own:
Community Programming, Marketing, and Communications:
- Curate and execute a calendar of tenant programming that reflects the building’s identity, fosters community, and drives engagement.
- Manage community events, including concept development, budgeting, vendor management, onsite execution, and post-event reporting.
- Own marketing channels including the tenant app, newsletter, digital displays, signage, and applicable social content.
- Create content promoting events, highlighting building amenities, celebrating tenant stories, and informing the community.
- Grow tenant experience app engagement through content, audience management, building notices, and local partnerships and perks.
Amenity Management:
- Oversee ordering, restocking, receiving, and inventory of amenity supplies.
- Keep amenity spaces spotless.
- Document and escalate maintenance and facilities issues.
- Maintain clean, organized supply closets.
- Support leasing teams in showcasing building amenities.
Tenant Relationships:
- Build trusted tenant relationships and create welcoming, connected, and valuable workplace experiences.
- Meet regularly with tenant contacts to understand needs and gather feedback.
- Build relationships proactively through everyday interactions.
- Execute in-suite activations and personalized engagement opportunities.
- Deliver Surprise & Delight moments and meet hospitality engagement standards.
- Own tenant onboarding so new people understand the building’s offerings.
- Gather customer feedback and develop action plans to improve the tenant experience.
Service Culture:
- Champion Industrious service standards and hospitality principles.
- Model and deliver new hospitality standards.
- Communicate and resolve issues confidently, empathetically, and professionally.
What You Bring to the Table:
The strongest candidates will have:
- 2–3 years in community, hospitality, or customer-facing work.
- Experience designing and delivering community events, tenant programs, or comparable hospitality work.
- Marketing communications ability, including clear writing, audience adaptation, and content calendar or newsletter management.
- Organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple programs and relationships.
- Tenant relationship skills, including building trust and following through reliably.
- Comfort with digital tools; experience with a tenant experience app or similar platform is a plus.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $90,000–$95,000, depending on experience. You’ll also be eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus.
