About the role

The Role:

This position will perform reviews of customer and program quality requirements and ensure all requirements are identified, understood, and complied with through Hadrian’s policies, procedures, and systems. If requirements are not currently met, the Quality Engineer will own the development of new processes and systems that support customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Onboard new customers by mapping their quality requirements and performing gap assessments to align with current capabilities.
  • Work closely with the automation team to integrate new customer quality processes into automation systems.
  • Act as a project manager for customer and third-party audits, ensuring pre-audit tasks are completed and post-audit action items are documented.
  • Drive and implement data-driven process improvements based on quality specifications and customer flowdowns.
  • Develop and refine the Quality Management System to meet industry benchmarks and integrate with automation tools.
  • Create quality plans and protocols in collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams.
  • Act as a product owner for quality-related automation tools, ensuring they meet customer-specific requirements, production system needs, and industry standards.
  • Develop standards for customer-specific quality documentation, including process maps, control plans, and standard operating procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Awareness of lean principles and continuous improvement methodology.
  • Experience working with complex quality specifications, including customer flowdowns.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and experience managing customer audits and quality requirements is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, especially quality-related tasks such as inspection processes, AS9102 FAIR, and source inspections.
  • Strong project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of Design for Manufacturability.
  • Experience successfully coordinating industry and customer audits.

Compensation

For this role, the target salary range is $110 - $160k (actual range may vary based on experience).

This is the lowest to highest salary the company reasonably and in good faith believes it would pay for this role at the time of posting. Pay within the salary range may be based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

ITAR Requirements
