About the role

GLG Research connects clients across all industries with data-driven insights using B2B panels built from the world’s largest and most varied source of first-hand expertise. The team provides market insights through access to an industry-leading expert panel, full-service custom market research project management, and quality review. Quantitative market research specialists support all phases of client engagements, from scoping and questionnaire design to panel selection, quality review, and data interpretation and visualization.

GLG’s Corporate Research business helps technology, healthcare, and industrial companies obtain insights for critical decisions throughout product development, marketing, and other market research projects. The team leverages survey capabilities and a broad source of first-hand expertise to deliver robust insights in a timely and thorough manner.

GLG is seeking a Market Research Project Specialist to lead and grow the surveys business serving technology, telecommunications, and media clients. You will collaborate with GLG Research and Business Development professionals and corporate clients. You will lead or assist with end-to-end survey projects from project pitching and scoping through fielding and quality control. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, prioritization and multitasking, excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, creative problem solving, client service, and project management skills. It also requires the ability and passion to lead and develop junior associates on your team.

Specific Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Project leadership: Serve as the point person for end-to-end survey execution and ensure the broader survey team’s resources are optimally utilized for project success.
  • Thought leadership: Serve clients’ requests on complex, fast-turnaround learning needs.
  • Client leadership: Partner with clients to understand their survey needs and GLG’s capabilities; manage expectations; suggest new panels or ways to reach respondents; and work with internal GLG research and sales teams to identify high-potential client opportunities and ways clients could leverage the survey product.

At a minimum, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 2-4 years of market research and survey experience, including experience with online survey platforms such as Decipher and/or Qualtrics.

We would love if you also have most of these qualifications:

  • Market research experience in technology, media, or telecommunications.
  • Experience collaborating with team members in a high-throughput, deadline-driven, process-oriented, client-servicing environment.
  • Superior writing, logic, interaction, oral, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing a product team or book of business is a plus.
  • Experience analyzing results and/or communicating research results to stakeholders is a plus.
  • Management consulting or investment banking experience, or a demonstrated strong understanding of professional services, is a plus.
