About the role
JOB OVERVIEW:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely and accurately submit surplus lines filings for assigned states.
- Process surplus lines tax returns for all assigned states before due dates.
- Coordinate payment of surplus lines taxes by appropriate due dates.
- Maintain accurate files on shared drive.
- Work with surplus lines stamping offices and state agencies to resolve any discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with and assist in educating the account teams.
- Reconcile reports and coordinate with accounting.
- Utilize InsCipher for filings and reports.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Be a team player/collaborate with all colleagues as needed.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret surplus lines regulations and requirements.
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent follow up skills.
- Able to navigate the internet.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Surplus lines experience helpful.
- Property & Casualty Insurance background helpful.
- Accounting experience helpful.
COMPENSATION:
Non-Exempt: The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00 per hour and standard workweeks are 37.5 hours. This range represents the employer’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting.
