About the role
Directive Consulting is a B2B marketing agency focused on measurable results through paid media, content marketing, public relations, paid social, marketplace, and lifecycle marketing. The Paid Strategist is a client-facing role responsible for client deliverables, custom client strategies, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead social media accounts.
- Support client contacts.
- Coordinate with vendors and operational partners.
- Build quarterly client strategies.
- Create, maintain, and optimize paid media budgets.
- Understand client positioning and value propositions.
- Confirm accurate lead routing in a CRM.
- Understand programmatic campaigns.
- Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals.
- Execute and optimize LinkedIn advertising campaigns, including ad copywriting, TAM development, and targeting.
What You Offer
- 2+ years of experience at a performance or digital marketing agency supporting B2B clients.
- Expertise in paid social advertising, especially LinkedIn Ads.
- Understanding of LinkedIn ad units, including conversation ads, document ads, and CTV.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Campaign Manager, ZoomInfo, 6sense, and similar tools.
- Knowledge of keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization.
- Ability to analyze campaign data using Google Analytics, GA4, Excel, and other analytics platforms.
- Experience with audience segmentation and mid-market or enterprise accounts.
- Ability to communicate strategy and explain data-driven results.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to travel to clients approximately once per year or as needed.
What Success Looks Like
- Manage approximately five mid-tier and enterprise accounts.
- Meet department KPIs, including client growth, goal attainment, North Star Metrics, and client satisfaction.
- Build client trust and relationships that support renewals.
- Cross-sell services aligned with client goals.
- Communicate results clearly to clients and executives.
- Make effective strategic decisions for accounts.

Work Environment Requirements
This is a remote-first role that can operate virtually from a home office anywhere in the US, with optional access to offices in Irvine, California.
