About the role

Directive Consulting is a leading B2B marketing agency. The Paid Strategist is a client-facing role responsible for client deliverables, custom client strategies, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders on Paid Social deliverables.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead Social Media accounts
  • Support client contacts
  • Communicate with vendors and operational partners
  • Build quarterly client strategies
  • Create, maintain, and optimize paid media campaign budgets
  • Understand client positioning and value propositions
  • Confirm accurate lead routing within a CRM
  • Work with the Associate Director to achieve internal and client goals
  • Understand Programmatic campaigns
  • Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals
  • Execute and optimize LinkedIn advertising campaigns, including ad copywriting, TAM development, and targeting

What You Offer

  • 2+ years of experience at a performance or digital marketing agency supporting B2B clients
  • Expertise in paid social advertising, especially LinkedIn Ads or Meta Ads
  • Understanding of LinkedIn and Meta ad units
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Campaign Manager, ZoomInfo, and 6sense
  • Understanding of keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization
  • Ability to analyze campaign data using Google Analytics, GA4, Excel, or other analytics platforms
  • Ability to measure results via OCT
  • Experience with audience segmentation
  • Measurable success with mid-market or enterprise accounts
  • Ability to articulate strategy and communicate insights through data
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and project-management skills
  • Willingness to travel to clients approximately once per year or as needed

What Success Looks Like

  • Manage approximately five mid-tier and enterprise accounts
  • Meet department KPIs, including client growth, goal attainment, client NSMs, and satisfaction scores
  • Build client trust and relationships that create renewals
  • Cross-sell services aligned with client goals
  • Communicate results clearly to client contacts and executives
  • Make strong strategic decisions for accounts

This is a remote-first role that can be performed virtually from a home office anywhere in the US. Employees collaborate through virtual meetings and Slack and must be able to operate a computer, remain stationary for extended periods, interpret written and verbal communication, and maintain reliable internet access.
