  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas preferred or ability/desire to obtain PE licensure.
  • Hands-on experience preparing plans, specifications, estimates, design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents for water/wastewater projects.
  • Working knowledge of water distribution, wastewater collection, lift station, pump station, pipeline, force main, and/or treatment-related design concepts.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation is a plus.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, InfoWater, SewerGEMS, or comparable platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with public agency standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory considerations related to water and wastewater systems.
  • Ability to manage assigned design tasks, budgets, schedules, and deliverables with guidance from project managers or senior technical staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
