- Work with community managers, regional staff, and outside local landlord/tenant counsel to initiate non-payment legal proceedings against current tenants on a regular, consistent cadence, as well as holdover and other proceedings on an as-needed basis.
- Serve as a first point of contact, together with the community manager, for outside landlord/tenant counsel on information requests and settlement negotiations.
- Ensure consistency, timeliness, and compliance with company standards in the initiation, management and tracking of collections and landlord/tenant legal matters.
- Identify trends or issues across the assigned geography and escalate to the regional operations staff and the Collections and Landlord/Tenant Administration Manger, as appropriate.
- Monitor and report on portfolio KPIs (e.g., case aging, cycle time, and recovery rate) within their assigned geography.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of prior paralegal or legal case management experience required; experience with landlord/tenant, eviction, or collections matters strongly preferred.

- Strong organizational and case-management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of active matters across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with outside counsel, community managers, and regional staff.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive tenant, legal, and settlement information.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage competing deadlines across an assigned geography.
