Logistics Specialist

Position Overview:

Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, support cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Finance, and IT, solve problems, and improve logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop inbound and outbound logistics processes.
• Maintain relationships across Materials, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Forecast shipping needs and communicate with transportation partners.
• Maintain SOPs.
• Track fulfillment and shipping costs.
• Prepare packaging and packing slips.
• Coordinate international and domestic shipments, pickups, documentation, supplier selection, and cost negotiation.
• Track deliveries and receiving forecasts.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouse/manufacturing teams.
• Resolve transportation, inventory, and delivery issues.
• Analyze logistics performance data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistics or a related role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• International and domestic logistics coordination.
• Freight cost negotiation and supplier management.
• Continuous improvement methodologies.
• Fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Soft Skills:

• Interpersonal, collaboration, communication, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, project management, time management, and organizational skills.

Technology Stack:

• ERP systems.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• FedEx shipping tools and logistics platforms.
• Excel and Power BI.

Physical Requirements:

• Standard office environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Extended computer use.
• Occasional warehouse or manufacturing-area visits.
