ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Manufacturing Production team is responsible for activities crucial to the manufacturing process, including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Manufacturing Training and Development team designs, develops, and delivers training programs that enhance technical proficiency, ensure compliance, and support career growth. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing training function while enhancing employee training experiences.

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking a Technician Trainer to develop and deliver training programs for Manufacturing teams supporting production lines at Arsenal, Ohio. This role is essential to building a skilled workforce that adheres to safety protocols, quality standards, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background as a technician or technician trainer in a manufacturing environment and can translate technical processes into accessible and effective training.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Deliver in-person, on-the-job, and classroom-style training for new hires and technicians across multiple product lines
  • Support the development and maintenance of training content, including job aides, technical skills, equipment operation, quality practices, and safety procedures
  • Conduct hands-on practical training on the production floor, guiding technicians through real-life scenarios and troubleshooting exercises
  • Develop and standardize skills matrices and on-the-job training documentation
  • Create and continuously improve training materials, instructional design guides, standard operating procedures, and other manufacturing resources
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, production leadership, and manufacturing stakeholders to define learning objectives and content requirements
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for specialized training or equipment
  • Ensure programs follow central Manufacturing Training and Development guidelines
  • Support standardized record keeping, attendance records, competency assessments, and progress reports
  • Support learning administration, including scheduling, logistics, setup, and evaluation
  • Partner with instructional designers and LMS professionals to keep content current and relevant
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and adherence to protocols
  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned training areas

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a technician or technician trainer in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Self-starter who is energetic, driven, and focused on continuous improvement
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and tooling, manufacturing and assembly practices, and safety standards
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to coach and explain complex processes clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other documentation tools
  • Comfortable using or learning learning management systems and digital tools for training documentation
  • Effective organizational skills to manage training schedules, materials, records, and documentation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Driven, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles or train-the-trainer certifications
  • Training certifications such as Certified IPC Trainer, including J-STD-001 CIT, IPC-A-610/620 CIT, or IPC-7711/7721 CIT
