About the role
POSITION OVERVIEW
Support reliability, maintenance, and asset management activities in regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environments. Improve equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, unplanned downtime, and operational readiness across cross-functional teams.
WORK LOCATION
Travel to client sites may be required up to 100%, depending on project demands and client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support reliability engineering for facility, utility, process, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs and asset maintenance strategies.
- Perform criticality assessments, root cause analyses, failure investigations, and failure mode assessments.
- Analyze performance, maintenance, downtime, and failure data; report reliability metrics and KPIs.
- Support spare-parts assessments, inventory strategies, risk mitigation, life-extension strategies, and operational readiness.
- Use CMMS platforms and collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with reliability, facilities, process, plant, or maintenance engineering; preventive maintenance; CMMS; and reliability data analysis.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, GMP requirements, Good Engineering Practices, and reliability methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- GMP manufacturing facilities, utilities, process equipment, or production systems.
- Reliability-centered maintenance, FMEA/FMECA, predictive maintenance, condition-based maintenance, commissioning, qualification, operational readiness, and CMMS platforms such as Maximo, Blue Mountain, SAP, or similar.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The role requires computer use, reaching, talking, listening, walking, sitting, lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds, and occasional standing, stooping, or kneeling. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
