Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of development and verification testing for complex mechanical and aerospace systems.
- Design test approaches, methodologies, and strategies to validate product performance.
- Develop test procedures, plans, work instructions, reports, and engineering documentation.
- Support products from concepts and prototypes through qualification and production readiness.
- Configure instrumentation and data acquisition systems; collect, process, and interpret test data.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, systems, and quality teams.
- Support technical reviews, program milestones, proposals, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Identify technical issues and drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering programs.
- Experience leading development testing and supporting qualification or verification testing.
- Proficiency with test instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, test execution methodologies, SolidWorks, and GD&T.
- Experience developing test plans, procedures, reports, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with requirements-driven environments and formal verification and validation processes.
- Knowledge of military and commercial engineering specifications preferred.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
