About the role
Summary:
As a member of the electrical team, you will work in multidisciplinary project teams to architect and develop systems for consumer products, medical devices, space systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, and industrial controls. You may occasionally support the sales team with bids and quotes. You will integrate into project teams, collaborate with other disciplines and senior electrical team members, and deliver electronics designs and products autonomously or with support.
How you will spend your time:
Design Work
Design hardware architectures, power budgets, electrical block diagrams, schematics, and PCBs. Own designs from start to finish, including layout, bring-up, debugging, documentation, verification, and participation in design reviews. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
Sales Support
Work with account managers and project managers to bid and scope projects with customers, including visiting customer sites to discuss capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Design and layout experience including several of the following:
- Microcontrollers, processors, and FPGAs in embedded systems
- Controlled impedance for high-speed channel design or RF technologies
- Communications interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-485, USB, SDIO, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, and LVDS
- DC/DC converters and topologies
- EMI/EMC and signal integrity analysis
- Analog and sensor interface design
- Lab troubleshooting and debugging experience with PCB assemblies using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited technical college or university
- 7+ years of experience.
