About the role

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of mechanical systems, structural hardware, and mechanisms from concept through production readiness. Responsibilities include creating 3D models, assemblies, engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, bills of materials, and release packages; performing engineering calculations, trade studies, tolerance analyses, and evaluations; reviewing engineering analyses and design outputs; supporting development programs, prototypes, testing, qualification, and production transition; collaborating with manufacturing, quality, systems, and test engineering teams; and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience designing aerospace, defense, or other highly engineered products and systems.
  • Experience developing hardware through testing, qualification, and implementation.
  • Strong mechanical design background and knowledge of engineering drawing standards, mechanics, material behavior, stress analysis, and engineering fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, GD&T, CAD, and CAE tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, requirements, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience creating and managing bills of materials, detailed drawings, and product definition packages.
  • Working knowledge of military, aerospace, or commercial engineering specifications and standards.
