About the role

The Opportunity:

Abby Care is looking for a creative, energized, analytical, and organized People Experience & Engagement Manager to redesign high-impact people programs, initiatives, and communications for its corporate and clinical workforce. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that does not manage people or teams.

The role owns critical components of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee engagement, performance reviews, communications planning, training, and data-driven people programs.

You are:

  • A startup enthusiast comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Creative and resourceful in solving people-program challenges.
  • Comfortable executing while making data-driven decisions.
  • Highly collaborative and skilled at building rapport and buy-in.
  • A trusted, clear communicator.
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to balance team-member needs with company strategy.
  • Energized by facilitating training.
  • Comfortable using metrics such as eNPS, attrition, performance, and engagement scores to influence stakeholders and drive change.

What you’ll work on:

  • Build an end-to-end onboarding experience for corporate and clinical employees across multiple states.
  • Design and launch employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and action plans.
  • Design, communicate, and execute mid-year and end-of-year performance review cycles.
  • Redesign business communications, rhythms, routines, and company traditions for a hybrid organization.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Launch a best-in-class onboarding experience with the structure, content, resources, and technology new hires need during their first week.
  • Turn employee feedback into meaningful action plans for team and department leaders.
  • Achieve 97%+ on-time completion of end-of-year performance reviews and connect reviews to calibration, promotions, compensation decisions, and feedback.
  • Create a clear annual People Team roadmap for clinical and corporate teams.

What you’ll have:

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, Employee Experience, or Learning & Development in scaling environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience with management teams or executives.
  • Curiosity and proficiency with technologies and platforms used to scale people programs.
  • Experience with Lattice, Workday, Google Suite, Slack, and Notion.
  • End-to-end problem-solving and implementation experience.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence.
  • Residence in or willingness to permanently relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Healthcare-industry experience and experience managing programs for offshore teams preferred but not required.
  • Authorization to work for any U.S. employer; Abby Care cannot sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation packages.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, including a $0 deductible PPO and company-funded HSA.
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and 10 paid company holidays.
  • HSA contributions, optional FSA and commuter benefits, and coverage of 401(k) account fees.
  • Paid parental leave.
